ABOVE ELA BEACH

The photo taken at dawn under a frangipani
shows Koki Market towards Pyramid Point
and the coastline to Kapakapa further east

a thin line of waves on the reef before open ocean
and the boilers of the Pruth exposed on coral.

Closer in, the bend of the casuarinas reveals
that the south-east tradewind was already up
and pushing a lakatoi west towards Kerema.
